Clouds darkened the skies at Clementi Town Arena as 12000 spectators turned up for the match. Steffen Schruf was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Emidio Boga and Aleš Pelán. Clementi Town started the game in a 4-4-2 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. 15 minutes into the game, Clementi seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate (5). The visiting Joe Reece was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 19 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. With 21 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by Grilled's Brian 'Was Born' Reddy reached Chia Kwang Tse's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 0 - 2. Some fine movement on the left led to a Grilled goal after 30 minutes, making it 0 - 3. Orest Tokarz was noted down as the scorer. 38 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and Federico Parada was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 4 rolling the ball in by the right post. After 39 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Phua Ming Xin who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 5. It was 0 - 5 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

The Clementi players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid (7) organisation when the game started again. Aw Keng Chuan neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to Phua Ming Xin who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. Orest Tokarz received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 51 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 6. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. With 67 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 7 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Phua Ming Xin. Sim Jian Beng got a fingertip on Federico Parada's shot from the left 71 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Using his strength as an edge, Orest Tokarz pressed the Clementi defence to make an error. He wrapped up by scoring 0-8 himself, 71 minutes into the game. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Orest Tokarz. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 85 minutes, Chan Ze Han came on for Phua Ming Xin. Aw Keng Chuan left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 85 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Bhavya Panigrahi was the replacement. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Orest Tokarz wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Teo Chuan Yong after 89 minutes. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 0 - 8. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 70 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Clementi player was without a doubt Siu Shi Kum. Sim Jian Beng turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly Brian 'Was Born' Reddy. Teo Chuan Yong was a disappointment, however.
