Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. Grilled took the lead 37 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. Phua Ming Xin was the scorer. After 43 minutes of game time, Orest Tokarz had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, hitting a cross from the right with a half volley, but Marco Villani was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. A thrilling play through the middle after 44 minutes gave Grilled's Lim An Keng a chance to increase the lead, and he happily obliged. The home crowd did not lose faith and cheered their team on as they strove to get back into the game. The fans were rewarded after 76 minutes when Úlvur Simonsen burst forward, 5-holed the central defender and then mischievously lobbed the ball over the advancing goalie to make the score 2 - 5.
