Grilled 1 - 6 Good
70455 spectators had found their way to
The Cooking Pot, despite the heavy rain.
Tommy Andersson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ulf 'Ultimate' Malmbeck and
Lio Finsterwald. The rain was pouring down, it was the kind of weather favoured by strong players who stick to simple football. For players blessed by speed or technical skills, the day really was as grim as for everyone else. The following players had been chosen by Grilled:
Germanakos -
Keng Chuan,
Hutter -
Baena,
Thach,
An Keng,
Khairul,
Parada -
Reece,

Good's starters:

Rausch,

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Grilled used their divine (+1) (21) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Good showed off their divine (20) creative tactics. The referee showed Good's
Anzelm Filipski the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled fans held their breath as
Orest Tokarz scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! After 26 minutes
Mario Reijerkerk made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to
Ong Ho Seng who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 1. Good's
Nenad Ðorđević managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 28 minutes. 1 - 2. With 31 minutes played, Good put themselves up 1 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Ong Ho Seng. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 3. Grilled had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
With 47 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
Yannick Rausch of Good to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 4. Grilled's
Phua Ming Xin found himself alone on the left side 49 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! Grilled's
Orest Tokarz blocked one attack after another by Good, finally picking the ball up for himself and powering through towards the goal. Unfortunately, his finish was not as impressive as the physical play that got him the chance.
Mario Reijerkerk of Good took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 51 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 5. 62 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 6 as
Ong Ho Seng finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. By then
Ong Ho Seng had scored three goals - a hat trick! 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Enrique Baena gave
Paulino Trindade a quick hug as he left the field. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Radovan Jaška came on for
Aw Keng Chuan. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Phua Ming Xin reluctantly made way for
Gandhik Chitre on the pitch. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 1 - 6. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
Grilled's best player was
Mohd Marzuki Khairul.
Radovan Jaška turned in a dismal performance, however.
Teng Hui Heng performed admirably for Good. On the other hand,
Nenad Ðorđević's play was disheartening.
