For some players the sunny weather was bad news. It made Powerful and Quick players a bit sluggish. For Technical players, it was instead an advantage, allowing them to shine on the pitch. The following players had been chosen by KickzFC: Zabel - Tresch, Elstad, Hurtado, Eckby, Milovac - Čejka, Sertório - Spiridonov, Bal, Prastashvili.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Grilled Birds went for 2-5-3 while KickzFC has decided to play a 5-2-3 lineup. KickzFC were relying on their magnificent (12) ability to counter-attack. Joe Reece dispatched a majestic long shot 7 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. Grilled had a chance to take the lead after Damian Hutter's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 17 minutes. Grilled were very close to putting themselves one up after 24 minutes as Federico Parada got through on the left. However, his concentration failed him, and he shot wide. 24 minutes in, Grilled's Orest Tokarz received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. At 41 minutes played, Damian Hutter came in from the right with the intention of giving Grilled the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. Not surprisingly, KickzFC's bench was visibly upset when, in the 42:th minute, Eugénio Sertório almost fumbled the ball into his own net! Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for Gandhik Chitre to score after 43 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 89 percent of the time.

Grilled's Chia Kwang Tse tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. KickzFC had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 57 minutes, but Avtandil Prastashvili's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. 60 minutes into the game, KickzFC wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Per Eckby gave Abel Gualter a quick hug as he left the field. Many thought Federico Parada ought to have been awarded a penalty 60 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Ole Zabel after a determined run through the middle. Despite hurting his left foot at the 61 minute mark, Catalino Hurtado decided to keep playing. Grilled had a good opportunity to take the lead as Joe Reece came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Ole Zabel. Grilled created a good opportunity to score 69 minutes into the match when Orest Tokarz's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. Espen Elstad would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Andrzej Szelejewski entered the game for KickzFC as the match clock showed 70 minutes. After 70 minutes, the KickzFC coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Eugénio Sertório off the field. Ignacio Estrázulas took his place. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 72 minutes played, but Damian Hutter's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Orest Tokarz reluctantly made way for Bilal Mohammad Harun on the pitch. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Teo Chuan Yong came on for Joe Reece. The match ends 0 - 0. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 92 percent.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Lim An Keng. Teo Chuan Yong was a disappointment, however. Most important KickzFC player was Ole Zabel. Catalino Hurtado on the other hand, had a terrible day.
