Good 5 - 4 Grilled

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Good Luck FC Arena saw a crowd turnout of 42127. Romain Christine was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Juan Moranco and Tobias Jentsch. Good's lineup was: Colangiulo - Thiessen, Ðorđević, Filipski - Reijerkerk, Hao De, Nilsson, Hui Heng, Raihan - Ho Seng, Chapari.

Grilled fielded: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, Hutter - Khairul, Thach, Kwang Tse, An Keng, Parada - Reece, Ze Han, Balde.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Good Luck FC went for 3-5-2 while Grilled Birds has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their extra-terrestrial (16) level with that tactic. After 6 minutes, Grilled's Chan Ze Han made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Anzelm Filipski was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his right knee after 13 minutes. Sabri Sofian Amin had already been warming up, and came on for Anzelm Filipski. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 15 minutes into the match. Chan Ze Han surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. 29 minutes in, and Good were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when Víctor Chapari picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. Good took the lead 33 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as Teng Hui Heng elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Grilled had a chance to level the scores as Chad Thach suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

57 minutes into the game Grilled's Joe Reece found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 2 - 2. After 67 minutes, Good raised their score by one when Khairul Nazri Raihan's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by Víctor Chapari. 3 - 2. After 70 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Aw Keng Chuan off the field. Bhavya Panigrahi took his place. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Mak Hao De squirmed through their central defence after 70 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 2. The coach of Good was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 73 minutes, Hamzah Emir came on for Víctor Chapari. Grilled's Mohd Marzuki Khairul had a good first touch on the flank, but was crowded and, after a change of plan, sent the ball to Chia Kwang Tse who somehow managed to curl the ball wide. After suffering a nasty injury to his left calf muscle, Chan Ze Han left the field in tears. The unfortunate accident happened 77 minutes into the match. Orest Tokarz tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. With Chan Ze Han no longer on the pitch, Bhavya Panigrahi took over free kick duty. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Bhavya Panigrahi took over the role of being the Grilled captain. Orest Tokarz could've grabbed a goal for Grilled 78 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. Mario Reijerkerk left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 79 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Hafiz Hamdan Ayman was the replacement. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Good scored another to make it 5 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Mak Hao De after 81 minutes. The visitors replied 84 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 5 - 3, as Chia Kwang Tse dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. Grilled reduced the deficit to 5 - 4 with a penalty placed perfectly beside the left post by Bhavya Panigrahi. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 5 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 5 - 4. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

The most dominating Good player was without a doubt Teng Hui Heng. Hamzah Emir on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's top performer was clearly Lim An Keng. However, Bhavya Panigrahi made a disastrous appearance.
