Mayuyu 2 - 3 Grilled

Due to an all-day shower, 44241 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at 渡辺麻友Dome. Loren Krols was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Stefano Di Mambro and Marco Holzing. The rain was pouring down, it was the kind of weather favoured by strong players who stick to simple football. For players blessed by speed or technical skills, the day really was as grim as for everyone else. Mayuyu's lineup was: Boestlinger - Ravarotto, Bique, Ekborn, Burboa - Aschaber, Wauquier, Favari, Olivieri - Ahola, Inczédi.

Grilled fielded: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, Hutter - Ferzan, Thach, Khairul, An Keng, Parada - Reece, Ze Han, Tokarz.

Mayuyu AKB48 started the game in a 4-4-2 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Mayuyu saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their divine (+5) (25) level with that tactic. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their titanic (15) level with that tactic. Egemen Dinçer Ferzan had a good try after 7 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Chan Ze Han came close to putting the visiting team one up 13 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but Philip Boestlinger managed to tip the ball to a corner. Grilled took the lead after 21 minutes making the score 0 - 1. Chan Ze Han placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Florian Aschaber's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 27 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to Joonas Ahola who knocked it in for Mayuyu. 1 - 1! Grilled took the lead 30 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. Chan Ze Han was the scorer. 35 minutes into the match, Orest Tokarz came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 65 percent of the ball.

Mohd Marzuki Khairul would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chia Kwang Tse entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Joe Reece would have put Grilled up another goal 51 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. It was obvious that Mayuyu had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After 52 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Mayuyu on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by Hunor Inczédi to make it 2 - 2. The terraces were silenced after 53 minutes when Grilled's Orest Tokarz put the guests ahead 2 - 3, following an attack on the right. The visitors nearly scored again after 74 minutes, but a superb save by Philip Boestlinger kept Chan Ze Han's free kick out of the net. Damian Hutter was, after 81 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper Philip Boestlinger made the save. Mayuyu were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 82 minutes into the match, but Luis Bique narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from Chan Ze Han after 83 minutes, and prevented Grilled from going up another goal. 85 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Damian Hutter gave Bhavya Panigrahi a quick hug as he left the field. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Chan Ze Han off the field. Gandhik Chitre took his place. Chan Ze Han was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that Bhavya Panigrahi got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. Bhavya Panigrahi was the new captain of Grilled - handed the armband by the departing player. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 2 - 3. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

Mayuyu's top performer was clearly Lucas Wauquier. However, Luis Bique made a disastrous appearance. Most important Grilled player was Lim An Keng. On the other hand, Bhavya Panigrahi's play was disheartening.
