Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For tpyers, the formation of choice was 4-3-3. Grilled used their extra-terrestrial (16) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. For their match strategy, tpyers had decided to use their outstanding (10) ability to counter-attack whenever possible. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
Joe Reece, but the Grilled player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! 12 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Mohd Marzuki Khairul broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Grilled.
Ibnou Balde had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 20 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. tpyers almost scored after a swift counterattack 21 minutes into the game, but
Zsolt Sajtos put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. Grilled's
Federico Parada saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 29 minutes. Grilled's
Chan Ze Han increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 30 minutes. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
Ibnou Balde after 34 minutes. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.
Joe Reece sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
Chan Ze Han after 61 minutes of play, making the score 5 - 0.
Ibnou Balde would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Gandhik Chitre entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 70 minutes.
Joe Reece unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
Zsolt Sajtos was unable to continue, following a severe injury to his right knee, 76 minutes into the match. The replacement for the injured player was
Lim Ming Ming. After 77 minutes,
Chad Thach put Grilled ahead 6 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Gilbert Webb came on for
Damian Hutter. Grilled's
Lim An Keng swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. A foul called during a tpyers counterattack resulted in a great chance to score, but
Jeannot Mergen's shot rattled off the post. With 85 minutes played,
Joe Reece could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Chan Ze Han gave
Kalki Parvathaneni a quick hug as he left the field. With
Chan Ze Han no longer on the pitch,
Gilbert Webb took over free kick duty. As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
Gilbert Webb took over the role of being the Grilled captain. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 6 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Lim An Keng.
Gilbert Webb was a disappointment, however.
Derek Dizon performed admirably for tpyers.
Antonio Ramenghini turned in a dismal performance, however.
