Grilled 2 - 1 Marina
The 58320 spectators at
The Cooking Pot were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Anssi Paanala was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Elijah Wilson and
Vephkhia Kartozia. For some players the sunny weather was bad news. It made Powerful and Quick players a bit sluggish. For Technical players, it was instead an advantage, allowing them to shine on the pitch. Grilled's starters:

As the teams prepared to start the match, they both lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. The wings were the focus of most of Grilled's attacks on this day, taking advantage of their magnificent (12) level with that tactic. Marina were relying on their outstanding (10) ability to counter-attack. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
Chad Thach got himself booked. The manager of Grilled was not happy. Grilled got a penalty shot 21 minutes into the game, but
Bhavya Panigrahi scuffed the shot slightly and
Manuel Maggipinto was able to block. A foul after 26 minutes resulted in a free kick.
Bhavya Panigrahi cannonballed it, giving the home team the lead 1 - 0. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
Teo Chuan Yong would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Kalki Parvathaneni entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes.
Kalki Parvathaneni became the new Grilled captain. Marina's
Joes Wolbers set up a perfect opportunity for
Thomas Delavault, but the latter failed to score. Grilled put in a good effort on the right, but
Ibnou Balde saw his volley fly wide of the mark 51 minutes into the game. 60 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Bhavya Panigrahi gave
Gilbert Webb a quick hug as he left the field. As
Bhavya Panigrahi left the field, the coach signaled to
Gilbert Webb to be the new set pieces taker. 60 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty that
Gilbert Webb turned into 2 - 0 without a problem. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
Egemen Dinçer Ferzan unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Marina played a good counterattacking move down the left 62 minutes into the match, with
Joes Wolbers finishing well for 2 - 1. Players in Grilled heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. As the 85 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Kalki Parvathaneni reluctantly made way for
Chan Ze Han on the pitch. As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
Chan Ze Han took over the role of being the Grilled captain. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 1 minute beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 2 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 58 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Chan Ze Han.
Gilbert Webb on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Aleksander Kuznowicz performed admirably for Marina.
Manuel Maggipinto was a disappointment, however.
