Hoseh 1 - 8 Grilled
Due to an all-day shower, 33268 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Hoseh!!.
Dlf Hugener was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Youkai Immers and
Beloha Rapiera. The rain was pouring down, it was the kind of weather favoured by strong players who stick to simple football. For players blessed by speed or technical skills, the day really was as grim as for everyone else. The following players had been chosen by Hoseh:
Beldiman -
Sze chuan,
Chang -
Dang,
Bang,
Lee Han,
Bayoumi,
Mohd Osman -
Iyer,
Yun Kian,
Yunus.
Grilled's lineup was:
Germanakos -
Panigrahi,
Hutter -
Ferzan,
Thach,
Keng Chuan,
An Keng,
Baena -
Parada,
Ze Han,
Balde.
2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Hoseh saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their brilliant (11) level with that tactic. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their magnificent (12) level with that tactic. After 7 minutes, Grilled's
Chad Thach made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. 8 minutes into the match,
Ibnou Balde came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi was shown a yellow card after 15 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Attacking on the wings was the choice for Hoseh, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 19 minutes into the match, an alert
Jovan Bang bagged the ball for Hoseh, levelling the score to 1 - 1. Grilled's
Enrique Baena got himself booked for a foul. After 22 minutes,
Deng Lee Han slowly got up on his feet, clutching his left thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. 1 - 2 was the score with 30 minutes played, after
Egemen Diner Ferzan cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. With 31 minutes played,
Jovan Bang of Hoseh fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 34 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and
Chan Ze Han was able to increase the visitors' lead to 1 - 3 rolling the ball in by the right post. After 43 minutes, Grilled's
Damian Hutter burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 4. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 4. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.
Chan Ze Han received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 50 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 5. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 55 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Federico Parada who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 6. After 56 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
Enrique Baena to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 7. 60 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Bhavya Panigrahi gave
Gilbert Webb a quick hug as he left the field. The home crowd was not impressed when
Aw Keng Chuan came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 80 minutes. Grilled were now up 1 - 8. A slight injury to his right calf muscle meant
Tyron Chang had to leave the match early. It happened after 81 minutes. The coach had his head in his hands, as he realised he could not send a replacement onto the pitch. The team had to continue a man short. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Chan Ze Han off the field.
Teo Chuan Yong took his place. As
Chan Ze Han left the field, the coach signaled to
Teo Chuan Yong to be the new set pieces taker. The Grilled captaincy was handed to
Teo Chuan Yong. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Kalki Parvathaneni came on for
Federico Parada. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 4 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 1 - 8. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 69 percent of the ball.
Hoseh's best player was
Abd El Zaher Bayoumi. On the other hand,
Daniel-Mircea Beldiman's play was disheartening. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Aw Keng Chuan. However,
Teo Chuan Yong made a disastrous appearance.
