Grilled 1 - 6 SuperDelight
4224 spectators had found their way to
The Cooking Pot, despite the heavy rain.
Lukas Binder was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Grégory Laurence and
Xander de Schrijver. While a boggy pitch like this was an advantage for physical players, it really didn't help those who relied on speed or technique. The following players took the field for Grilled:

The following players had been chosen by SuperDelight:

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 3-5-2 formation while the visitors instead opted for 2-5-3. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their supernatural (14) level with that tactic. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 9 minutes played, but
Paulino Trindade's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. 0 - 1 was the score with 28 minutes played, after
Kenny Van Opstal cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for SuperDelight. Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
Walerian Dubicki would have put SuperDelight up another goal 30 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. After 33 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Daniel Hubmann who increased SuperDelight's lead to 0 - 2. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to SuperDelight, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.
After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Lim An Keng off the field.
Chia Kwang Tse took his place. The visitors'
Walerian Dubicki took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 52 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for SuperDelight. It emerged that
José Luiz Velho had hurt his right foot after 61 minutes, which led him to abandon the game.
Teo Chuan Yong had already been warming up, and came on for
José Luiz Velho. A drive down the left side allowed
Puchong Yingklaidee to get in close and score another goal for SuperDelight after 67 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4. It took several tries, but Grilled managed to break through on the left after 68 minutes, getting the ball to
Teo Chuan Yong who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 4. After 73 minutes, SuperDelight's
Bert Reinwald burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 5. 75 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Dante Tran gave
Gilbert Webb a quick hug as he left the field.
Puchong Yingklaidee of SuperDelight took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 75 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 6. A superb free kick by Grilled's
Bilal Mohammad Harun after 82 minutes looked like it'd reduced the lead after it hit the underside of the bar and bounced down over the line, but to the fury of the home crowd the linesman missed it - no goal! 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a SuperDelight substitution.
Filippo Raynaud came on for
Daniel Hubmann. While defending the SuperDelight lead,
Walerian Dubicki got a new role. 89 minutes in the game, his coach ordered him to change positions with
Jung-Chan Lee. The referee announced 3 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The referee showed SuperDelight's
Kenny Van Opstal the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The match ends 1 - 6. SuperDelight enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.
Most important Grilled player was
Prokop Mottl.
Enrique Baena was a disappointment, however. The most dominating SuperDelight player was without a doubt
Puchong Yingklaidee.
Yongyut Sakunpichetrut on the other hand, had a terrible day.
