A 2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. laojiaren demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their divine (+2) (22) ability to great effect. The coach of laojiaren wanted to try to mix things up after 1 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. laojiaren's 魏 (Wei) 群然 (Qunran) was man marking Teo Chuan Yong, and did it well, but often at the cost of abandoning his own position. 11 minutes into the game, laojiaren's 聂 (Nie) 秉毅 (Bingyi) popped up out of nowhere, stole the ball and showed off his fantastic goal scoring skills. 1 - 0. A great save by keeper Manuel Vadalà with 12 minutes gone kept the visitors in the game after 彭 (Peng) 勇轩 (Yongxuan) struck from the left with a real cannonball. laojiaren's 彭 (Peng) 勇轩 (Yongxuan) was delighted to score as he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing keeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing. 2 - 0 after 14 minutes. 17 minutes into the game, technical Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud of Grilled scored to make it 2 - 1, having made Bohumil Schmied look like a complete fool. Grilled leveled the score after 25 minutes to make it 2 - 2, as Aw Keng Chuan struck home after a fine midfield combination through the middle left him completely unmarked. laojiaren's Pocho Ibarra tried to break through the middle repeatedly, but the visitors' defenders were just too alert. Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud was first to reach a long ball launched through the center from Grilled's defense 27 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the keeper to make the score 2 - 3. After 28 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Chan Ze Han who increased Grilled's lead to 2 - 4. 2 - 4 was the halftime score. Well, look at this! The home crowd was briefly mollified when Thorbjørn Flejsborg reduced the lead to 3 - 4 after a brilliant midfield give-and-go through the middle. Due to some great work on the right wing laojiaren's Róbert Budai was able to even the score 52 minutes in to 4 - 4. After 61 minutes, Grilled put themselves up 4 - 5, as Bilal Mohammad Harun finished off a play from the left with a real rocket. With 63 minutes played, laojiaren's 聂 (Nie) 秉毅 (Bingyi) made a rush down the left, leaving him free to put the 5 - 5 equalizer away. With the match clock reading 73 minutes, the inexperienced laojiaren team fell into disarray. The home side put themselves ahead 6 - 5 after 79 minutes of hard work with a breakthrough from Pocho Ibarra, who, all by his lonesome, came out of the right wing and hooked the ball over the visitors' keeper. Showing that he’s been around the block once or twice, Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud scored to make it 6 - 6 for Grilled after putting some pressure on the enemy defense at a critical moment. One, two, three goals! That completed a hattrick for Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud. AH! AH! AH! laojiaren could have put themselves ahead after 81 minutes but Róbert Budai mishit a volley on a ball coming in from the right. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Chan Ze Han off. Chad Thach took his place. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 4 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The visitors' central defense should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Róbert Budai, but the laojiaren player managed to shrug them off and fire a low shot that 5-holed the keeper to give his team the lead. 7 - 6! laojiaren's top performer was clearly Bohumil Schmied. Speaking of stinking up the place, 魏 (Wei) 群然 (Qunran) sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. The most outstanding Grilled player was without a doubt Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Chad Thach seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
