Kalki Parvathaneni came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but his attempted chip over Dicky Welman just kept rising and landed in the relieved crowd. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up coming through the center. During the break, Eintracht's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid (7) organization. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle instead. Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud was, after 64 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the center, but the home side's keeper Dicky Welman made the save.
