Grilled 3 - 5 Familien

The clouds were hanging menacingly over the stadium today. They fielded: Salmiņš - Panigrahi, Carapaica - Kannan, Parvathaneni, Xin Seng, Xin Lee, Kamel - Ze Han, Mudaliar, Mazhud.

The following players had been selected: Gáspár - Marques Ferreira, Schönfließ - Yliräisänen, Lande, Kabul, Nordmark, Grimnes - Lynch, Hobson, Notter.

The coaches were in sync today, as both teams lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their divine (+6) (26) ability to great effect. After 7 minutes cheers broke out as Salah Kamel found his way through the guests' central defensive line, rattling the 1 - 0 goal in off the woodwork for Grilled. Familien leveled the score after 8 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as Chin Kabul struck home after a fine midfield combination through the middle left him completely unmarked. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 21 minutes into the match, and Chin Kabul wasn't about to waste it. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 1 - 2 for the visitors. Chan Ze Han pulled a rabbit out of his hat as he wove through the guest's entire central defense and put the 2 - 2 equalizer away after 24 minutes. The visiting Chin Kabul was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 28 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 2 - 3 was the score. That was his third goal of the match - a hattrick for Chin Kabul! That's the name of the game! The referee showed Familien's Ingo Schönfließ the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defense 35 minutes into the match, an alert Chu Xin Lee poked the ball past the keeper, bringing Grilled level at 3 - 3. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 3. Familien set the tempo, maintaining 54 percent of possession.

Making his way up the middle after 52 minutes, Douglas Carapaica almost managed to sneak a goal past the visitors' keeper, but Roland Gáspár was ready and blocked it to keep the score level. Ivar Grimnes let loose a good shot after 63 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. With the match clock reading 74 minutes, the inexperienced Familien team fell into disarray. With the clock showing 75 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Salah Kamel looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for Heng Dong Chu, though he would have liked to continue. Grilled's Chan Ze Han tried to break through the middle repeatedly, but the visitors' defenders were just too alert. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution. Teo Chuan Yong came on for Chu Xin Lee. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Douglas Carapaica gave Gilbert Webb a quick hug as he left the field. The bleachers were silenced after 82 minutes when Familien's Niklas Yliräisänen put the guests ahead 3 - 4, following an attack on the right. Ivar Grimnes managed to make an excellent pass from the wing, but Bjarne Lande was not as skillful and couldn't finish it off. Familien's Danny Lynch received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 87 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 3 - 5. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 3 - 5. Well, look at this! Cardi B is on the Enormotron in naught but giant sunglasses, red tassles, and a Holy Hand Grenades of Antioch tank top. I've not seen anything like it before. Most important Grilled player was Chan Ze Han. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Bhavya Panigrahi seemed to stumble all over the pitch. The most outstanding Familien player was without a doubt Zak Hobson. Speaking of stinking up the place, Roland Gáspár sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
