FaitSonSpectacle 2 - 1 Grilled
Due to an all-day shower, the spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog. The wet pitch made it difficult for technical or quick players to stand out. For once, the players relying on physical strength gained the upper hand. The following players had been selected:

FaitSonSpectacle fielded a 5-5-0 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was a 2-5-3. FaitSonSpectacle preferred to use their mythical (17) ability to bomb away from a distance - not unlike Steph Curry. Grilled went for a narrow approach, using their divine (+4) (24) ability to focus their attacks down the middle. After 19 minutes
Shekar Kannan made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to
Chan Ze Han who blasted it past the keeper. The score was now 0 - 1. It was obvious that FaitSonSpectacle set up their play to get a shooter in position, and after 20 minutes they succeeded with their tactics when
Raimo Kaipainen found a hole in the defense and his long shot left the keeper without a chance. 1 - 1. The incalculable
Ali Eren Elhan of FaitSonSpectacle did everything right as he set up
Göktürk Koşa for a goal after 26 minutes. Unfortunately, the strike missed its target. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 51 percent of possession.
Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up coming through the center.
Badr Al-muhza looked great 50 minutes in after stopping a shot by the visitors'
Douglas Carapaica. FaitSonSpectacle's defense sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counter-attack with 51 minutes gone, but
Ali Eren Elhan's finish was met by the firm hands of the keeper. As the 60 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution.
Salah Kamel reluctantly made way for
Kalki Parvathaneni.
Patrick Gruel held up a FaitSonSpectacle attack after 60 minutes, waited until
Sung-Sik Oh was in shooting position, and then elegantly set him up.
Sung-Sik Oh didn't disappoint his teammates, and from a long way out he curled the ball around the keeper with precision making it 2 - 1. After 70 minutes, the FaitSonSpectacle coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving
Patrick Gruel off.
Lauri Plathan took his place. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Douglas Carapaica gave
Gilbert Webb a quick hug as he left the field. With the clock showing 80 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board.
Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for
Sølve Lunde, though he would have liked to continue. It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 2 - 1. Grilled had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 51 percent possession of the ball.
FaitSonSpectacle's top performer was clearly
Badr Al-muhza. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by
Ireneusz Strabel today.
Chan Ze Han performed admirably for Grilled. Good thing
Kalki Parvathaneni isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance.
