Bluecity 04 fielded a 3-5-2 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was a 2-5-3. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favor of their divine (+6) (26) ability to attack in the middle. The guests took the lead 13 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
Chan Ze Han scoring to make it 0 - 1.
Rudolf-Heinz Janik looked around after sending his opponent to the ground to realize he was the last man. That's called denial of a goalscoring opportunity, and the Blues player was sent off after 14 minutes. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. After 27 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Bernie Egan who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. Grilled's
Heng Dong Chu received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 35 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 0 - 3. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! After 36 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed
Bilal Mohammad Harun to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. With 40 minutes played, Grilled's
Salah Kamel received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Grilled did a good job holding on to the ball, with 68 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.
With 73 minutes played,
Douglas Carapaica nearly put the visitors up by one more as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot whizzed just over the bar. Blues's defense sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counter-attack with 74 minutes gone, but
Greg Breyther's finish was met by the firm hands of the keeper. The visitors'
Bilal Mohammad Harun took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 76 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Grilled.
Yann Masseron kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when
Gilbert Webb delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post.
Chan Ze Han of Grilled displayed some of his fantastic technical abilities when he brought the ball down neatly using his instep before megging the bewildered
Greg Breyther and smashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper to make it 0 - 6. Blues's
Heinz Peter Wiedemann found himself alone on the left side 79 minutes into the match and launched a marshmallow of a shot - right into the arms of the keeper. What a turkey! The away team's fans are gobbling it up! A thrilling play through the middle after 81 minutes gave Grilled's
Bernie Egan a chance to increase the lead, and he happily obliged. The score was then 0 - 7. As the match nears its end, the referee deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 0 - 7. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 69 percent of possession.
Blues's best player was
Tauno Raun. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by
Heinz Peter Wiedemann today. Most important Grilled player was
Chan Ze Han. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because
Gilbert Webb seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
