A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot from the right by Heng Dong Chu beat the keeper with 30 minutes played, preventing Grilled from going up another goal. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 37 minutes on the clock after Salah Kamel's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Grilled player a yellow card though. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 54 percent of possession.

A thrilling play through the middle after 67 minutes gave Grilled's Chan Ze Han a chance to increase the lead, and he happily obliged. The score was then 0 - 4. The referee showed Drag's Julio Triana the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After playing for 72 minutes and finding his team in a losing position, the manager hoped to turn things around. José Rubalcaba was ordered to assume a different position on the field and switched places with Diego Martell. With 72 minutes played, Julio Triana was very close to reducing the deficit for Drag with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot for a corner. After 73 minutes, the Drag coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Diego Martell off. David Bordeje took his place. David Bordeje was handed the Drag captain's armband.
