It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 4-5-1 formation while the visitors instead opted for a 2-5-3. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their divine (+7) (27) ability to great effect. With the match clock at 1 minutes, Dinamo modified their style of play a little bit. See how
Juan Sergio Hinojosa has had to abandon his regular position to follow
Chan Ze Han around? That leaves a big gap for his mates to cover! The visitors' central defense should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
Alejandro Viego, but the Dinamo player managed to shrug them off and fire a low shot that 5-holed the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! 9 minutes into the game Grilled's
Bernie Egan found a gap in the home side's central defense and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. Dinamo's
Yamíl Misterio tried to break through the middle repeatedly, but the visitors' defenders were just too alert.
Arnis Endzels of Dinamo finished off the counter-attack from the left rather easily, making it 2 - 1. Grilled leveled the score after 37 minutes to make it 2 - 2, as
Kalki Parvathaneni struck home after a fine midfield combination through the middle left him completely unmarked. Dinamo took the lead 38 minutes in, as
Yamíl Misterio broke through on the left and put his shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper, bringing the score to 3 - 2. 3 - 2 was the halftime score. Neither team was controlling possession at this point in the match.
Sixto Gojenechea increased Dinamo's lead to 4 - 2, connecting with a hooked ball from the right. The away fans are claiming handball, to no avail. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 65 minutes on the clock after
Bhavya Panigrahi's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Grilled player a yellow card though. Was that a pass or a bad touch? Either way, the inexperienced
Mateja Jeftić almost gave Dinamo a goal, but luckily they couldn't capitalize on the mistake. 70 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution.
Gilbert Webb came on for
Bhavya Panigrahi. Dinamo's
Alejandro Viego was delighted to score as he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing keeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing. 5 - 2 after 71 minutes. With the clock showing 80 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board.
Kalki Parvathaneni looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for
Heng Dong Chu, though he would have liked to continue. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 5 - 2. Dinamo had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.
Dinamo's top performer was clearly
Alejandro Viego. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because
Juan Sergio Hinojosa seemed to stumble all over the pitch. Most important Grilled player was
Vikram Mudaliar. Speaking of stinking up the place,
Chan Ze Han sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
