Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 67696 at Four Seasons Arena today. Guido Landzaat was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jürgen Vetter and Abelardo Moya. UDNTK fielded: Barbara - Tăsică, Gajic - Mirabelli, Furdui, Burghgraaff, Godlieb, Baranczyk - Galov, Carda, Ton.

Grilled's starters: Dob - Webb, Panigrahi - Muthyala, Mohammad Harun, Kamel, Chuan Yong, Xin Lee - Mudaliar, Ze Han, Parvathaneni.

The teams both lined up their players in 2-5-3 formations. Grilled used their divine (+6) (26) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 2 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Andrija Galov, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. The visitors didn't give in and, after 23 minutes, Kalki Parvathaneni got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. UDNTK could have put themselves ahead after 31 minutes but Benjamin Godlieb missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. UDNTK's Edoardo Mirabelli was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - Joan Carda managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 2 - 1 after 32 minutes. Cheers filled the stadium as Joan Carda broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to UDNTK. With 39 minutes played, UDNTK put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Wilfred Baranczyk, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Coming in on the left, Bilal Mohammad Harun did everything right to get a goal for Grilled after 41 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. After 43 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Quincy Ton gave the UDNTK supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 1. Grilled kept trying to force their way through on the right side and Gilbert Webb got his chance after 44 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. UDNTK showed their counterattack skill 44 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with Andrija Galov scoring uncontested for 6 - 1. Halftime score was 6 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by UDNTK, with 51 percent of the ball.

After 66 minutes, the UDNTK coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Wilfred Baranczyk off the field. Mariano Miguel took his place. 66 minutes into the game, Andrija Galov had to leave the field due to a rib injury. This gave Sun Yun Kok a chance to take to the field instead. Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi tried his best to narrow the score with a well placed free kick, but it wasn't quite good enough and Martin Barbara managed to block the shot. UDNTK's Sun Yun Kok increased the lead to 7 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 71 minutes. Grilled had a fair chance to reply after 72 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end Chan Ze Han was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Gilbert Webb reluctantly made way for Mateja Jeftić on the pitch. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Heng Dong Chu came on for Chu Xin Lee. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 3 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 90 minutes, UDNTK did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, Edoardo Mirabelli was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 8 - 1. The match ends 8 - 1. UDNTK enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Joan Carda performed admirably for UDNTK. Daniel Tăsică on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Chan Ze Han. Neeraj Muthyala was a disappointment, however.
