Rangers 0 - 6 Grilled

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 12000 had shown up at Rydskogen IP for the match. Camilo Rodriguez was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Atta Nsiah and Jesse Healey. The following players had been chosen by Rangers: Yeng Chao - Guang Han, Su How - Mohd Ismail, Hao Ze, Lao, Jia Kian - Hùng Dũng, Dworok, Qeshany.

Grilled's starters: Vadalà - 中北 (Nakakita), Webb - Künzler, Panigrahi, Mohammad Harun, Jeftić, Muthyala - Parvathaneni, Mudaliar, Ze Han.

(The New) Ryd Rangers FC fielded a 2-4-3 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Grilled's Gilbert Webb managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 10 minutes. 0 - 1. With 11 minutes played, after a good run down the left, Đỗ Hùng Dũng went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. 16 minutes in, Grilled's Neeraj Muthyala received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 26 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Rangers found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate (5). The home crowd was not impressed when Chan Ze Han came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 31 minutes. Grilled were now up 0 - 2. With 32 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Kalki Parvathaneni. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 77 percent of the time.

A review of the gameplan helped Rangers get back to a solid (7) organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. After 46 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Kalki Parvathaneni a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. With 57 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed Chan Ze Han of Grilled to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 5. As the 75 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Bilal Mohammad Harun reluctantly made way for Heng Dong Chu on the pitch. Kalki Parvathaneni would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 75 minutes. 81 minutes in, Rangers appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak (4). With 82 minutes played, 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The visitors added to their lead 84 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's Mateja Jeftić slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 6. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 0 - 6. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.

The most dominating Rangers player was without a doubt Marek Dworok. Zuhair Farizul Mohd Ismail on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's best player was Chan Ze Han. Manuel Vadalà turned in a dismal performance, however.
