Kavous Ghanbarzadeh got left behind when Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar left scorch marks in the turf 20 minutes, finishing off with a blisteringly swift strike. 0-1! After 21 minutes of game time, 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Matthias Satzenhofen was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from Yee Jian Hui after 28 minutes, and prevented Grilled from going up another goal. Librería mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 29 minutes, but Vito Villalobos was unable to convert from short range. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) would have put Grilled up another goal 36 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Jack Span knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 1 - 1 after 39 minutes. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

Jean-Emmanuel Caulier was in no condition to play on. He left the field limping after 73 minutes, with his right thigh bandaged. Holger Banemann tried to hide a smile as he entered the field.
