No matter how hard he tried, Harka Bekele just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 33 minutes. 34 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. With 35 minutes played, Vikram Mudaliar nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. A drive down the left side allowed Leonard Nguyen to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 36 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 3. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) off the field. Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid took his place. Vikram Mudaliar was handed the Grilled captain's armband. 46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Dante Tran came on for Yee Jian Hui. A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper Louis Vara and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Gambela, but Assefe Bayisa's finish was way too lame. Gambela refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, Alonso Werner managed to slip the ball home for 1 - 3. Alem Kebede's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert Assefe Bayisa was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Gambela. 2 - 3. Salah Kamel received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 74 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 2 - 4. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The visitors added to their lead 77 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's Mateja Jeftić slid just past the home keeper. 2 - 5. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Radovan Jaška gave 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) a quick hug as he left the field. After 82 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) who increased Grilled's lead to 2 - 6. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 2 - 6. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 60 percent of the ball.

Most important Gambela player was Harka Bekele. However, Alem Kebede made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was Salah Kamel. On the other hand, Prokop Mottl's play was disheartening.
