The fans at the stadium today were roasting in the hot sun. It was a sunny day and the technical players could roll the ball around with ease. Torpedo Brambauer 05 trundled out to the pitch in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar could have put the guests one up 19 minutes in after chasing a through ball from the right, but Themos Tsatsaras was as quick as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. 20 minutes into the game, Bhavya Panigrahi was a hair's width away from giving Grilled the lead with a shot from the left. A timely dive by Themos Tsatsaras saved the home team on this occasion. With 22 minutes played, Brambauer's Amadeus Roets received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. Though it was beautiful soccer, the home crowd did not enjoy Heng Dong Chu's goal after a run down the left with 23 minutes on the clock. Grilled lead, 0 - 1. With 31 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Bilal Mohammad Harun. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 58 percent of possession.

Bernie Egan somehow managed to break free of his man on the left wing and only needed a relatively easy finish to bring Grilled's lead up to 0 - 3. After 59 minutes, Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar burst through the central defense and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi was shown a yellow card after 72 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Grilled's Heng Dong Chu set up a perfect opportunity for Neeraj Muthyala, but the latter failed to score. After 76 minutes of game time, Neeraj Muthyala had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, hitting a cross from the right with a half volley, but Themos Tsatsaras was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. Grilled came close to extending their lead as Chan Ze Han delivered a low effort on goal from the right but the angle was too sharp, and the shot was destined for the side netting. The home fans looked somber as they watched their team give up another goal, this one coming from their right as Vikram Mudaliar put one through the keeper's legs. 0 - 5 after 78 minutes. Brambauer's coach was furious with Aleksa Mitrović after he picked up a yellow for saying one too many words to the ref. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 0 - 5. Grilled did a good job holding on to the ball, with 59 percent of possession. Brambauer's best player was Philipp Gilliam. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Nelson Nava today. The most outstanding Grilled player was without a doubt Chan Ze Han. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Bhavya Panigrahi seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
