The fans at the stadium today were roasting in the hot sun. It was a sunny day and the technical players could roll the ball around with ease. Those that had to chase after the ball found the weather less appealing, it especially stymied the game of Powerful and Quick players. The teams had chosen different formations for the match. The home team, FC Ciccareal, went for a 3-5-2, while Grilled Birds has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. Using their brilliant skill, Ciccareal pushed their attacks towards the wings. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 5 minutes into the match left Grilled's Neeraj Muthyala completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Grilled's Salah Kamel received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 25 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 0 - 2. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! The home crowd was not impressed when Chan Ze Han came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 27 minutes. Grilled were now up 0 - 3. After 28 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Cyril K�nzler to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. With 34 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Gilbert Webb. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 5. Grilled had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 74 percent possession of the ball.

After 50 minutes, Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar burst through the central defense and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. Bernie Egan increased the visitors' lead by volleying in a pass from the right. 0 - 7. The game had been going for 53 minutes when Gilbert Webb broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 8 for Grilled, much to the home crowd's dismay. Cyril K�nzler increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 9 with a superb free kick that flew in just under the crossbar at the far post. After 55 minutes, the Ciccareal coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Davide Albertazzi off. Marco Dalla Ba took his place. The Ciccareal captaincy was handed to Giorgio Tama. Ciccareal's coach was furious with Omar Langella after he picked up a yellow for saying one too many words to the ref. With the clock showing 60 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Eusebio D'Amore looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for Stefano Bergo, though he would have liked to continue. 65 minutes into the game, Ciccareal wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Ciro Raganato gave Gejza Lenhart a quick hug as he left the field. As the match nears its end, the referee deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. Bhavya Panigrahi somehow managed to break free of his man on the left wing and only needed a relatively easy finish to bring Grilled's lead up to 0 - 10. The match ends 0 - 10. The most outstanding Ciccareal player was without a doubt Guido Galletto. I can't remember Gejza Lenhart ever having a worse night than he just had. Grilled's top performer was clearly Chan Ze Han. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Bhavya Panigrahi today.
