Mbarara 1 - 6 Grilled

Clear skies welcomed the 2750 spectators who had made their way to FC Zug 94 Mbarara Arena. Shaun Halliwell was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Chad Hobbock and Joubert Pinheiro. Mbarara's lineup was: Lule - Lule, Kawambwa, Kaggwa - Kimbita, Lubega Mbidde, Kasule, Kasule, Mnyaa - Twongyeirwe, Balam.

Grilled fielded: Vadalà - Abdul Majid, 中北 (Nakakita) - Thevar, Webb, Jaška, Panigrahi, Mottl - Ze Han, Velho, Davlatov.

FC Zug 94 Mbarara fielded a 3-5-2 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Grilled took a supernatural creative approach on the field. The terraces were silenced after 9 minutes when Grilled's 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. 19 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Chan Ze Han finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The visitors added to their lead 33 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 3. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Chan Ze Han would have put Grilled up another goal 39 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

Radovan Jaška received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 62 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Grilled's Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid startled Prokop Mottl with an unexpected pass. Unfortunately, the receiver was too stunned by the play to convert the perfect setup into a goal. The head of Radovan Jaška connected with a corner kick after 68 minutes, and the ball ended up with Islom Davlatov of Grilled who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 0 - 5. 71 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. After 75 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid off the field. Hoàng Trung Quá took his place. Mbarara's Tom Lule got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 1 - 5. John Kawambwa was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by Asante Lubega Mbidde, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. Endesha Lule got a fingertip on José Luiz Velho's shot from the left 82 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. After 83 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Chirag Thevar who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 6. 85 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) came on for 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita). Hoàng Trung Quá became the new Grilled captain. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 1 - 6. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

Endesha Lule performed admirably for Mbarara. Amri Kaggwa on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Chan Ze Han. Hoàng Trung Quá turned in a dismal performance, however.
