F.C.Cittadini entered the field in a 5-3-2 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. F.C.Cittadini were relying on their titanic ability to counter-attack. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+4) ability to attack in the middle. After 12 minutes, speedy Bernie Egan dashed past his marker, making plenty of room for the second wave of attack. However, Heng Dong Chu failed to score. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 13 minutes into the match left Grilled's Gilbert Webb completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Vikram Mudaliar came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Tanor Foudal but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. F.C.Cittadini's Yaw Owusu was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 19 minutes. 20 minutes into the match, Kalki Parvathaneni came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. The visitors' Cyril Künzler took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 24 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Grilled. The home crowd cheered when, after 31 minutes, Kalki Parvathaneni's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. F.C.Cittadini almost scored after a swift counterattack 32 minutes into the game, but Arno Hamen put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

Bernie Egan increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. Neeraj Muthyala was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Grilled's Gilbert Webb managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 0 - 4 70 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Chan Ze Han came on for Vikram Mudaliar. After 72 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Bilal Mohammad Harun who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 5. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Heng Dong Chu would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Prokop Mottl entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 88 minutes. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 0 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

F.C.Cittadini's best player was Samir Qaraşov. Richard Kissi Ankomah was a disappointment, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly Bernie Egan. Prokop Mottl turned in a dismal performance, however.
