Clear skies welcomed the 58079 spectators who had made their way to The Cooking Pot. Eemil Leppäniemi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Luca Brambati and Paolo Campagnoli. The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Grilled Birds went for 2-5-3 while Shoryuken FC has decided to play a 3-4-3 lineup. Grilled took the lead after 19 minutes as a result of Islom Davlatov's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. After 22 minutes, Islom Davlatov put Grilled ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. With 23 minutes played, Grilled's Cyril Künzler almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Grilled's Bernie Egan saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 33 minutes. With 38 minutes played, Naim Mohd Jehan of SKFC fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. SKFC fought on and, after 40 minutes, Theodore Zheng was able to reduce the deficit to 2 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Vikram Mudaliar squirmed through their central defence after 42 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) off the field. Bhavya Panigrahi took his place. After 54 minutes Cyril Künzler made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Chu Xin Lee who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 4 - 1. Cyril Künzler had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 56 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. Chan Ze Han increased the lead for Grilled to 5 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Grilled solidified their lead at the 68 minute mark, as Vikram Mudaliar dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 1. 74 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Bernie Egan broke through, making the score 7 - 1 for Grilled. Heng Dong Chu would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Prokop Mottl entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 3 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 7 - 1. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Kalki Parvathaneni. Prokop Mottl turned in a dismal performance, however. Theodore Zheng performed admirably for SKFC. On the other hand, Elvin McCutchen's play was disheartening.
