World 3 - 7 Grilled

The following players took the field: Batâr - Filippone, Trung Quá - Künzler, Muthyala, Saliman, 中北 (Nakakita), Romijn - Parvathaneni, Davlatov, Xin Lee.

End of the World fielded a 3-5-2 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Grilled's Florus Romijn was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - Chu Xin Lee" class="awayplayer">Chu Xin Lee managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 1 after 19 minutes. Kalki Parvathaneni" class="awayplayer">Kalki Parvathaneni received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 35 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. World's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 37 minutes into the match as Johan Hoelzer ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 1 - 2. With 38 minutes played, Chu Xin Lee" class="awayplayer">Chu Xin Lee nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. After 40 minutes, Grilled's Islom Davlatov burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 3. After 43 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Mohammad Ramli Saliman a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 4. 1 - 4 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.

53 minutes into the game World broke through on the left wing and Manfred Rapin managed to reduce the lead to 2 - 4. 59 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 2 - 5 as Mohammad Ramli Saliman finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Chu Xin Lee" class="awayplayer">Chu Xin Lee wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Chan Ze Han" class="awayplayer">Chan Ze Han after 65 minutes. Grilled increased the lead to 2 - 6 as Cyril Künzler scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. The visitors' 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 74 minutes into the match. 2 - 7 for Grilled. With 83 minutes played, Islom Davlatov of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. A marvellous World effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 84 minutes by Hermann Auderset, making the score 3 - 7. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes, José Luiz Velho came on for Mohammad Ramli Saliman. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 3 - 7. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

The most dominating World player was without a doubt Patrick Lahnau. Herbert Huyard was a disappointment, however. Cyril Künzler performed admirably for Grilled. On the other hand, Gene Filippone's play was disheartening.
