Oldtown 4 - 1 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> 4379 spectators arrived at Brown Ale Stand, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Marko Fabulić was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ismael Orta and Andrej Haruštiak. They fielded: Rodwell - Blackwell, Harding, von Melk, Kramer - Mussini, Muntasir, Aramayo, Bajada - Arthur, Allan.

Lineup: Rykowski - Leong Kum, bin Ahmad - Pećanić, Tarin, Velho, Tran, Mier - Mottl, Eshrafi, Davlatov.

Oldtown United entered the field in a 4-4-2 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Oldtown, taking advantage of their brilliant level with that tactic. After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty given after 3 minutes that gave the visitors the 0 - 1 lead. Despite the controversy, Ahmed Pećanić struck home the penalty, as cool as anything. With 28 minutes having been played, Oldtown scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but Pascal von Melk was marked down as the scorer. 29 minutes into the game, Prokop Mottl" class="awayplayer">Prokop Mottl almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. After 31 minutes of play, Arthur Allan gave the home team a 2 - 1 lead after an attack coming in from the right. After 32 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Dean Arthur might have resulted in another goal for Oldtown. However, Krystian Rykowski made a spectacular save. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Oldtown, with 53 percent of the ball.

Coming from the right, Dean Arthur almost managed to score another goal for Oldtown, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Oldtown to 3 - 1 as Gianpiero Mussini finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. With 75 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Remco van der Ban came on, Rashid bin Ahmad had to leave the fray. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Pascal von Melk squirmed through their central defence after 82 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. After 88 minutes, Grilled switched Ang Leong Kum with 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya), hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 4 - 1. Oldtown enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Most important Oldtown player was Gianpiero Mussini. However, Dean Arthur made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was Iman Eshrafi. 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) turned in a dismal performance, however.
