Grilled 3 - 1 International

iv id="matchReport"> Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 2529 at The Cooking Pot today. Axel Bieler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by José Ramón Agudo and Aleksandar Dubravčić. Lineup: Seng - Tarin, bin Ahmad - Pećanić, Xin Lee, Velho, Tran, Mier - Eshrafi, Mottl, Mauget.

The following players had been chosen: Paxwell - Ruebensaal, Reinwald, Robertson, Couderc, Yoma - Williams, Radcliffe, Storm, Gervais - Christopher.

Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas EHL International lined up in a 5-4-1 formation. J. Velho gave Grilled the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 A great save by keeper T. Paxwell after 14 minutes kept the visitors in the game after J. Velho struck from the left with a real cannonball. 19 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as C. Xin Lee broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Grilled. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 56 percent of the ball.

The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. R. bin Ahmad wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Leong Kum after 46 minutes. With clinical precision, the cross from winger S. Williams found its way to W. Christopher's head, and a screaming header gave International the goal after 62 minutes played. 2 - 1 The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, M. Abdul Majid came on for J. Tarin. As J. Tarin left the field, the coach signaled to A. Pećanić to be the new set pieces taker. Grilled's I. Eshrafi had an excellent opportunity after 82 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! T. Paxwell was caught napping as A. Pećanić lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. With 88 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to C. Mier, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let L. Wan Kang replace C. Mauget after 89 minutes. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. The match ends 3 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

Most important Grilled player was L. Wan Kang. C. Mier on the other hand, had a terrible day. International's best player was K. Storm. H. Ruebensaal turned in a dismal performance, however.
