International 2 - 6 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> International had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Peşmürde - Genchev, Gadziński, Schopman - Eijmael, Desábato, Al-Medhwahi, Hayn, Reuber - Öösalu, Višković.

Grilled decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. Lineup: Tian Han - Filippone, Leong Kum - Lee Hao, Meyer, 长春 (Changchun), Shun An, Ping Shun - Ying Lee, 勇航 (Yonghang), bin Mohd Kassim.

International were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Grilled used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Grilled's C. Ying Lee managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 2 minutes. 0 - 1. E. Višković of International displayed some of his fantastic technical abilities when he brought the ball down neatly using his instep before nutmegging the bewildered C. Meyer and smashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper to make it 1 - 1. T. Reuber gave International the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 Grilled tied it all up, 31 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by M. bin Mohd Kassim, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 2 - 2. 2 - 3 was the score with 32 minutes played, after M. bin Mohd Kassim cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. With 34 minutes gone, International had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, J. Desábato did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. After 37 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave A. Leong Kum a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 2 - 4. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 4. Grilled had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

The visitors' C. Meyer took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 56 minutes into the match. 2 - 5 for Grilled. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, International's B. Hayn was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 60 minutes. W. Ali was given a chance to change things around. After 60 minutes, Grilled's M. bin Mohd Kassim burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 2 - 6. At that, M. bin Mohd Kassim was noted down for a hat trick! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grilled lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The home crowd cheered when, after 64 minutes, W. Ping Shun's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. It was obvious that International had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. International had a brilliant opportunity to reply as V. Öösalu received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only W. Tian Han's reflexes saved him. Grilled's G. Filippone got himself booked for a foul. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

International's best player was V. Öösalu. On the other hand, B. Eijmael's play was disheartening. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt 田. 勇航 (Yonghang). G. Filippone on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 6.
