Void 2 - 3 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> It had rained all day, but 6802 hardy fans still made it out to Hell chair staters. Rachid Godoy was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Baldomero Velásquez and Peter Bryde Andersen. The match took place on neutral ground. Void decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. They fielded: Markmann - Brown, Paoletti, Loffredo, Zoguito - Chauvin, Harciník, van Boheemen, Ginko, Lo Bartolo - Xausa.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Tian Han - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Filippone - Ping Shun, Shun An, 长春 (Changchun), Meyer, Aik Jia - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

Going for long shots seemed to be the strategy in use by Void. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. After 11 minutes Grilled's W. Shun An had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. N. Vandeneynde came in to replace him. M. bin Mohd Kassim of Grilled seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by W. Ping Shun. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 24 minutes, Grilled's W. Ping Shun burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. After 38 minutes Void showed some great patience outside the penalty area, waiting until P. Lo Bartolo could find the right opportunity to finish off the attack from distance. The long shot, however, was an easy catch for W. Tian Han. 42 minutes into the game, T. Chauvin had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came A. Burczyk. It was a bad day for the usually speedy G. Xausa. The mud seemed to slow him down. 44 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and W. Ping Shun was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 3 rolling the ball in by the right post. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Instead of playing a 50/50 ball into the penalty area, Void's B. van Boheemen skipped past the marking defender and passed the ball to N. Zoguito who finished it off from distance. The keeper could only stand and watch as the hard shot hit the underside of the cross bar, and in to make it 1 - 3 with 44 minutes played. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 55 percent of the ball.

After 75 minutes Void showed the crowd a glorious passing play which put A. Paoletti in a perfect shooting position. His low hard shot was just as glorious, placed just inside the keeper's right post making it 2 - 3. The referee showed Void's A. Burczyk the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With the scoreboard clock showing 82 minutes, the inexperienced Grilled team fell into disarray. 83 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Grilled's 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) got himself booked for a foul. G. Filippone wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 89 minutes into the game by R. bin Ahmad. Grilled had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Void's top performer was clearly J. Markmann. On the other hand, A. Burczyk's play was disheartening. Most important Grilled player was M. bin Mohd Kassim. However, N. Vandeneynde made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 3.
