Grilled 6 - 1 Yew

iv id="matchReport"> A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 63272 to The Cooking Pot. Corvin Wiersing was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Manfred Elgaard and Serge de Maat. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Jurong derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. They fielded: Tian Han - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Filippone - Ping Shun, Shun An, 长春 (Changchun), Jing Wei, Aik Jia - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

Yew had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Kilic - Arévalo Morales, Talamonti, Denis - Zreeqat, Sitnikov, Rancke, Toniollo, Baliev - Koskela, Gulbrandsen.

Grilled broke through on the left 2 minutes into the game, with M. bin Mohd Kassim firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. After 26 minutes Yew's L. Kilic contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile L. Koskela. Yew's D. Baliev refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 28 minutes. W. Shun An had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 31 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. bin Mohd Kassim after 31 minutes. 34 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Grilled. The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The referee showed Grilled's 朱. 长春 (Changchun) the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Yew fought on and, after 38 minutes, L. Koskela was able to reduce the deficit to 3 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. It was 3 - 1 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

The heat made it a terrible day for W. Ping Shun, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's 朱. 长春 (Changchun) increasing the lead to 4 - 1. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) increased the lead for Grilled to 5 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs D. Baliev found it hard to get back into position. Grilled managed to extend their lead to 6 - 1 when 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. That made three goals for 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) and he was marked down for the hat trick. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 62 percent of the ball.

Grilled's best player was M. bin Mohd Kassim. 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) was a disappointment, however. L. Koskela performed admirably for Yew. On the other hand, J. Talamonti's play was disheartening. The match ends 6 - 1.
