Dorogan showed his experience after 38 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way. Coming from the right, K. Kurz almost managed to score another goal for DSL, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by DSL, with 54 percent of the ball.

With 55 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. 朱. 长春 (Changchun) came on, G. Dorogan had to leave the fray. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for DSL, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. B. Mir López could have increased the lead after 73 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Grilled's 朱. 长春 (Changchun) put the ball in the onion bag after 74 minutes to make it 1 - 1. The referee showed DSL's K. Kurz the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled's A. bin Jantan left the field after 77 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was R. van der Ban. C. Ying Lee, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit W.
