Grilled 5 - 3 Yew

63050 spectators arrived at The Cooking Pot, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Mario Zangerle was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Andrea Giovanbattista and Aaro Rosenqvist. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Jurong derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. Grilled had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Tian Han - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Madaini - Shun An, 长春 (Changchun), Ping Shun, Jing Wei, bin Jantan - bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee, 勇航 (Yonghang).

Yew started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: San Gil Cortázar - Denis, Arévalo Morales, Talamonti - Baliev, Quesada, Rancke, Hodzelmans, Zreeqat - Koskela, Gulbrandsen.

Grilled used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Yew were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) gave Grilled the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Yew were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. J. Talamonti tied the game at 1 - 1 after 4 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. Grilled took the lead after 7 minutes as a result of 朱. 长春 (Changchun)'s peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) increasing the lead to 3 - 1. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. 朱. 长春 (Changchun) squirmed through their central defence after 23 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. 4 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 56 percent of the ball.

Yew were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 51 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to D. Baliev, who smashed it home to make the score 4 - 2. Yew were able to mount several counterattacks, such as the impressive one after 53 minutes, but W. Rancke lofted a free kick over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, J. Talamonti had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came T. Beukenkamp. Grilled solidified their lead at the 63 minute mark, as C. Ying Lee dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 2. By now, the players in Grilled felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Q. Madaini wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for R. bin Ahmad after 65 minutes. The Grilled captaincy was handed to A. bin Jantan. Players in Yew heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. Yew managed to reduce the score to 5 - 3 as R. Hodzelmans finished off a well-played combination from the left, easily carving through the defence. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . W. Ping Shun was a disappointment, however. Yew's best player was T. Gulbrandsen. However, T. Beukenkamp made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 3.
