Grilled 6 - 3 Young
Dark skies made the crowd of 67019 at
The Cooking Pot a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Marius-Viorel Turcea was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Boguslav Snytko and
Stefan Holtentorp. Grilled decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. They fielded: Noubaryan - bin Ahmad, Madaini - Shun An, 长春 (Changchun), Ping Shun, Jing Wei, bin Jantan - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Young. Starters: 其宾 (Qibin) - Bergmański, Largoet - Rådman, Dinger, Sucharzewski, Ayaydın, Telichkin - van der Ven, Vieira, Coiffier.
Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
C. Ying Lee tried using a burst of speed to get past his defender after 8 minutes, but it takes more than that to get past fast
C. Largoet. With 9 minutes played, Grilled's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
C. Ying Lee he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 0. 31 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as
S. Rådman struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. The celebrations in the stands could only mean one thing -
W. Ping Shun's free kick had found the back of the net and put Grilled ahead 2 - 1! Grilled solidified their lead at the 36 minute mark, as
A. bin Jantan dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. A bit later, Young's
A. Vieira easily reduced the lead to 3 - 2 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. Young's
E. Telichkin got himself booked for a foul. In a fantastic display of determination, Grilled's
A. bin Jantan forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. 3 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 53 percent of the ball.
Still trailing on the score board, Young adjusted their tactics after 60 minutes.
C. Coiffier had a quick chat at the side line, then switched positions with
D. van der Ven. After 60 minutes, Young used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Young manager used a brief break in play after 60 minutes to give the players new directives.
W. Ping Shun increased Grilled's lead to 4 - 2 with a penalty spot cannonball. Young were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 79 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to
P. Sucharzewski, who smashed it home to make the score 4 - 3. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
R. bin Ahmad squirmed through their central defence after 79 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 3. Cheers filled the stadium as
W. Shun An broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 3 to Grilled.
田. 勇航 (Yonghang) wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 88 minutes into the game by
L. Wan Kang. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
Grilled's best player was
M. bin Mohd Kassim.
H. Noubaryan turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Young player was without a doubt
C. Coiffier. However,
袁. 其宾 (Qibin) made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 3.
