Today, Swashbucklers's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Players in Swashbucklers heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. Swashbucklers broke through on the left 30 minutes into the game, with L. Wei Feng firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. Swashbucklers solidified their lead at the 31 minute mark, as T. Hammer dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Swashbucklers scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Y. van Ysselsteyn after 34 minutes. The players of Swashbucklers now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Grilled were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 38 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to C. Ying Lee, who smashed it home to make the score 3 - 1. It was 3 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 53 percent of the ball.

With things not going too well on the field, the Grilled coach made the decision to swap the positions of W. Shun An and W. Ping Shun with 46 minutes played. W. Afi should probably have put his team up another goal after 47 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by H. Noubaryan kept the visitors in the game. Cheers filled the stadium as L. Wei Feng broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 1 to Swashbucklers. Grilled's M. bin Mohd Kassim was shown a yellow card after 67 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The crowd roared its approval when Z. Sandy somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Grilled's 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) 72 minutes into the game, following a good move through the middle. Swashbucklers had to make a substitution after 73 minutes. Y. Hernandez limped off the field and was replaced by B. Thắng Cảnh. M. bin Mohd Kassim had a couple of good opportunities to reply after getting through the middle of the opposition defence, but the home team's keeper Z. Sandy was simply unbeatable. Swashbucklers managed to extend their lead to 5 - 1 when Y. Chin Wai cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Swashbucklers's T. Hammer got himself booked for a foul. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

The most dominating Swashbucklers player was without a doubt L. Wei Feng. On the other hand, Y. Chin Wai's play was disheartening. M. bin Mohd Kassim performed admirably for Grilled. H. Noubaryan turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
