Grilled 4 - 5 Seychelles

ather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 5227. Erben Heinen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Cornel Heim and Alvin Mörnbratt. Grilled had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Noubaryan - bin Ahmad, Bacelar - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Shun An, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Jing Wei, Bellamoli - bin Mohd Kassim, Tong Rong, Ying Lee.

Seychelles tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. Lineup: Zambi - Lindahl, Kijiko - Belder, Claverini, Singhathep, Bülbül, Scholtzhauer - Mhagama, Akukweti, Khalfan.

Seychelles's Shaaban Mhagama managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 10 minutes. 0 - 1. The Seychelles free kick 21 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of Petter Lindahl, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 2! Seychelles's F. Khalfan was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 22 minutes. Seychelles's Prasert Singhathep placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but Petter Lindahl couldn't finish. Grilled reduced the lead to 1 - 2 with 32 minutes on the clock when Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim got the best of a ball floated in from the left. 33 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Seychelles's F. Khalfan received his second yellow card and was sent off. No matter how hard he tried, Djan Bacelar just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 35 minutes. 42 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as Mike Kijiko finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. It was 1 - 3 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

The cannonball from 35 metres by Woon Shun An of Grilled was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. After 75 minutes, Seychelles's Shaaban Mhagama burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Seychelles lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The coach of Seychelles was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes, Timm Kumba came on for A. Bülbül. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Seychelles coach let Dylan Toleafoa replace Petter Lindahl after 80 minutes. Ally Akukweti wanted to play on, but the Seychelles coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by David Zitto. A marvellous Grilled effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 80 minutes by Chow Ying Lee, making the score 2 - 4. 81 minutes into the match, Grilled's Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 3 - 4. The bench was restless, and with 85 minutes passed Grilled's coach gave Qassem Madaini the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Djan Bacelar reluctantly left the field. With 85 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed David Zitto of Seychelles to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 3 - 5. The home team's supporters got excited again when 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 4 - 5. After 88 minutes, Grilled switched Pompeo Bellamoli with Abdul bin Jantan, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Grilled's Rashid bin Ahmad was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 88 minutes. Gleb Dorogan was given a chance to change things around. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim performed admirably for Grilled. Hovaness Noubaryan was a disappointment, however. Seychelles's top performer was clearly Dylan Toleafoa. Raphael Zambi turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 5.
