Chemistry 4 - 2 Grilled

907 spectators arrived at The Acidic City, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Hans Gerd Naumovski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Leonardo Vasques and Amado Lanz. Chemistry decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Tzohar - Hujayrah, Alink, Kum Meng - Kandula, Seng Woon, Feng Ah, Hunyh, Ariff - Gehberger, bin Razuwan.

Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Noubaryan - 力勇 (Liyong), bin Ahmad - 尊文 (Zunwen) , 长春 (Changchun), Shun An, Djekshenkulov, bin Jantan - bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee, 勇航 (Yonghang).

Grilled used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. After 3 minutes, Grilled's Chow Ying Lee made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Chemistry put pressure on the visitors' central defence 22 minutes into the game, but Azri Ariff couldn't find an opening. With the clock showing 25 minutes played, Meinhart Gehberger equalised for Chemistry after curling a free kick around the defensive wall to make the score 1 - 1. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Azri Ariff, but the Chemistry player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! Grilled's 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) got himself booked for a foul. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

With 64 minutes played, Chemistry put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Lin Seng Woon, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The players of Chemistry now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Chemistry managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when Ray Hunyh cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Grilled were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 75 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim, who smashed it home to make the score 4 - 2. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 81 minutes Abdul bin Jantan made way for Gleb Dorogan. After 88 minutes, Grilled switched 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) with Alex Fonseca, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Lee Feng Ah performed admirably for Chemistry. On the other hand, Ang Kum Meng's play was disheartening. Grilled's top performer was clearly 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) . Hovaness Noubaryan turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
