Grilled 4 - 1 Rapalites
818 spectators had found their way to The Cooking Pot, despite the heavy rain.
Nils Ziesenboeck was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Co Verheyen and
Krzysztof Chaberek. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Kryus - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Madaini - 尊文 (Zunwen) , 长春 (Changchun), Shun An, Djekshenkulov, bin Jantan - bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee, 勇航 (Yonghang).
Rapalites decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. The following players took the field: Ruivo - Maalik, Haikal Ameer - Frizzi, Bernhauer, Veremeenko, Mantali, 文扬 (Wenyang) - Nilo, 景铭 (Jingming), Huhtamäki.
Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Rapalites mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. 7 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Grilled was
Seytek Djekshenkulov. Thighs bulging,
Woon Shun An charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. Coming through the middle
José Alberto Nilo almost scored the equaliser for Rapalites after 29 minutes, but
Edmund Kryus made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post.
Chow Ying Lee spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch. 33 minutes into the game Rapalites's
Joni Huhtamäki found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1.
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. Grilled took the lead after 40 minutes as a result of
Chow Ying Lee's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Grilled to 3 - 1 as
Chow Ying Lee finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Rapalites's
Tiberio Frizzi was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 42 minutes. Halftime score was 3 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
Cheers filled the stadium as
Seytek Djekshenkulov broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 1 to Grilled. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grilled lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 55 minutes in, Rapalites's
Savva Veremeenko received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Edmund Kryus was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Grilled's
Hovaness Noubaryan had to come off the bench. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. After 60 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Kuki Ruivo made a spectacular save.
Mattia Crotti was called on to replace Rapalites's
José Alberto Nilo after 63 minutes following a nasty collision. As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
裴 (Pei) 景铭 (Jingming) took over the role of being the Rapalites captain. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 53 percent of the ball.
Most important Grilled player was
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) .
Hovaness Noubaryan was a disappointment, however. Rapalites's best player was
Joni Huhtamäki. However,
Azri Haikal Ameer made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 1.
