Football 0 - 7 Grilled
irly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 37282 to Blue Planetarium.
Grégory Denis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Pedro Imbroda and
Thommas Grøn Nielsen. All of
Jurong was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. A 5-5-0 alignment was the formation of choice for Football. They fielded: bin Abu Samah - Jin Guang, Moraru, Teodorof, Arsoy, Tuytte - 若锋 (Ruofeng), Stedman, Tong Chang, Tian, 荣福 (Rongfu) -.
Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Kryus - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Madaini - Dorogan, 尊文 (Zunwen) , Shun An, Djekshenkulov, bin Jantan - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.
Football were relying on their ability to counter-attack. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Grilled's
Chow Ying Lee managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 7 minutes. 0 - 1. Football's
Muhteşem Arsoy was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 13 minutes. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 15 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. 35 minutes into the match,
Chow Ying Lee came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. 39 minutes in, Grilled's
Seytek Djekshenkulov received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The referee signalled a penalty 40 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box.
Qassem Madaini knocked it home to make the score 0 - 3. 41 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as
Seytek Djekshenkulov finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 86 percent of possession.
Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. The home crowd cheered when, after 53 minutes,
Gleb Dorogan's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Grilled's
Gleb Dorogan got himself booked for a foul. After 60 minutes, Grilled sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
Abdul bin Jantan, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 5. Grilled came close to extending their lead as
卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 61 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes,
Alex Fonseca came on for
Gleb Dorogan. After 75 minutes, Grilled's
Qassem Madaini burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. With 78 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
Seytek Djekshenkulov of Grilled to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 7. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let
Rashid bin Ahmad replace
凌 (Ling) 福泉 (Fuquan) after 85 minutes. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 87 percent of the ball.
Robert Moraru performed admirably for Football.
Ştefan Teodorof was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) .
Edmund Kryus turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
