The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 27 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when Foo 'Frankie' Ah De tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. Abdul bin Jantan could have increased the lead after 38 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Grilled's Chow Ying Lee swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

The visitors' Mohd Ezmi 'EZ-Link' bin Muhammad Fahmi was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 51 minutes. Thighs bulging, Aleksandar Damjanović charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. 82 minutes into the game, a swerving free kick by Qassem Madaini almost resulted in the home team taking the lead, but the shot glanced harmlessly off the frame of the goal. 甘 (Gan) 豪翔 (Haoxiang) was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. As the match clock reached 87 minutes, Grilled's organisation began to suffer due to a lack of experience. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 55 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim. Edmund Kryus turned in a dismal performance, however. Champions's top performer was clearly Edmundo Ortega. On the other hand, 甘 (Gan) 豪翔 (Haoxiang)'s play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 2.
