Lads had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. Starters: Andersson - Kopecki, Aik Siong - Çalkılıç, Ikram, Ting Tong, How Ze, Rouan - Hock Hock, Chu Long, Gerasimou.

Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Asyaari Ikram came close to putting the visiting team one up 12 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but Dexter Stacey managed to tip the ball to a corner. 29 minutes into the game, Mak Ting Tong had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Shiya Shaahee of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Clever play that showed his experience gave Maxime Rouan a good chance to score, but the shot hit the crossbar. Grilled fans held their breath as Shiya Shaahee scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 37 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when Diamantis Gerasimou tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. The referee showed Grilled's Seytek Djekshenkulov the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled solidified their lead at the 42 minute mark, as Woon Shun An dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Grilled increased the lead as Chow Ying Lee struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. By now, the players in Grilled felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Cheers filled the stadium as Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Grilled. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim squirmed through their central defence after 80 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Grilled put themselves up 6 - 0 when Shiya Shaahee broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 7 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Woon Shun An after 83 minutes. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 59 percent of the ball.

Most important Grilled player was Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim. Woon Shun An on the other hand, had a terrible day. Diamantis Gerasimou performed admirably for Lads. However, Liu Chu Long made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 7 - 0.
