Singapore 1 - 3 Grilled

000 spectators had found their way to Стадион ФК Партизан, despite the heavy rain. Àlex Farnós was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Luca Ilari and Sylvester Mosteller. Singapore started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Lineup: Juvenal - Neşide, Jang, Turkovič - González Sepúlveda, Jaroma, Stévenin, Bouw - Folcras, Goradia, Nie Yong.

Grilled decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. The following players had been chosen: Stacey - 俊桂 (Jungui), Madaini - Shaahee, 尊文 (Zunwen) , Djekshenkulov, 长春 (Changchun), 福泉 (Fuquan) - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Bellamoli.

Singapore seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. It was obvious that team Singapore had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Singapore's Jožef Turkovič tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. After a fine move down the middle Alfredo Folcras nearly gave the home side a goal after 7 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Grilled took the lead 20 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. 凌 (Ling) 福泉 (Fuquan) was the scorer. With 23 minutes played, Singapore's Nevzat Neşide found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like Shiya Shaahee. After 38 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Still ahead in the game after 46 minutes, Grilled made some tactical adjustments. 朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) and 凌 (Ling) 福泉 (Fuquan) swapped positions. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Teo Yong Yau replace 朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) after 46 minutes. Janne Jaroma slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 56 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The home team's supporters got excited again when Salvatore Stévenin broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 1 - 2. Grilled's 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but Pompeo Bellamoli couldn't finish. With 65 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) of Grilled to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 3. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Alex Fonseca after 89 minutes. Singapore enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

The most dominating Singapore player was without a doubt Wong Nie Yong. Alfredo Folcras was a disappointment, however. Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim performed admirably for Grilled. However, Teo Yong Yau made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 3.
