Liao's Luigi Antonio Giorgiani was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 35 minutes. After 37 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However, Diego Armando Urtaza made a spectacular save. Lesław Grabarz had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. Liao were close to putting the equaliser away after 39 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to Suphi Özdinçer in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Central attacks were the recipe of the day for team Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle to get them on. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's 林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) increasing the lead to 2 - 0. After this, you could see that the players of Grilled were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Alex Fonseca replace 朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) after 70 minutes. The away team improved the scoreline to 2 - 1, as Suphi Özdinçer struck home, set up well by a play on the left 71 minutes into the match. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. 75 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Chow Ying Lee broke through, making the score 3 - 1 for Grilled. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 4 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Seytek Djekshenkulov after 77 minutes. With 79 minutes played, Seytek Djekshenkulov of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Grilled put themselves up 5 - 1 when Chow Ying Lee broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Chow Ying Lee. Grilled had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Most important Grilled player was Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim. Paolo Iten turned in a dismal performance, however. Liao's best player was Suphi Özdinçer. 管 (Guan) 云文 (Yunwen) was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
