The wings were the focus of most of Tanglin's attacks today. Angelo Giorgio Satta of Tanglin seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Alessandro Circassi. Grilled's Chow Ying Lee was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 32 minutes. The Tanglin free kick 37 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of Luigi Fanigliulo, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 0! After 38 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Carol-Alexandru Muntean might have resulted in another goal for Tanglin. However, Dexter Stacey made a spectacular save. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Tanglin enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Attacking on the wings was the choice for Tanglin, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Tanglin to 3 - 0 as Carol-Alexandru Muntean finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Tanglin lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Shiya Shaahee enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. The referee showed Tanglin's Loris Barlati the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Tanglin managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when Loris Barlati cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After 82 minutes, Tanglin sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Arndt Herget, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 5 - 0. Carol-Alexandru Muntean of Tanglin was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Grilled kept trying to force their way through on the right side and Alex Fonseca got his chance after 84 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. Tanglin had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Most important Tanglin player was Carol-Alexandru Muntean. Menno Veenman turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim. On the other hand, Seytek Djekshenkulov's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 0.
