After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Barsaat Dharakar got himself booked. The manager of SpartanxU was not happy. Carlo Maurizio Zago made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. Will Newsome's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. The home team will be cursing José Jiménez for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 37 minutes. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 38 minutes, SpartanxU did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, Óscar Quintina was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 2. The referee showed SpartanxU's Carlo Maurizio Zago the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

With 57 minutes having been played, Grilled scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but Alex Fonseca was marked down as the scorer. Grilled had a good opportunity to take the lead as Alex Fonseca came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Francesco Dettore. SpartanxU's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing 邢 (Xing) 仲泽 (Zhongze) to score easily from the right flank for 2 - 3. Chow Ying Lee didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. Mohd Tuah bin Mohd Zain of SpartanxU received a yellow card after 75 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 76 minutes, Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 3 - 3. As usual, 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. 80 minutes in, Grilled's Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 87 minutes, SpartanxU's lack of experience resulted in the team's loss of their edge at the end of the game. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim. On the other hand, Paolo Iten's play was disheartening. José Jiménez performed admirably for SpartanxU. Chai Su Wan turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 3.
