Grilled 8 - 0 Kolhy
ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 5671 at The Cooking Pot today.
Ari Puputti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Henri Berline and
Peter van Est. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. Starters: Stacey - 俊桂 (Jungui), Madaini - Iten, bin Jantan, 尊文 (Zunwen) , 长春 (Changchun), Djekshenkulov - 勇航 (Yonghang) , bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee.
Kolhy decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Carocha - Brütting, Svobodin, Hering - Mishutsin, Jędrzejczyk, Króner, Mohr, Marcel - Heutschi, Palareti.
Grilled clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. They were singing the praises of
林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) 2 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Grilled. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Cheers filled the stadium as
Abdul bin Jantan broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Grilled. Grilled's players now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Kolhy's
Uladzimir Mishutsin was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 30 minutes. Grilled put in a good effort on the right, but
Paolo Iten saw his volley fly wide of the mark 31 minutes into the game. Grilled solidified their lead at the 33 minute mark, as
Seytek Djekshenkulov manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0. Halftime score was 3 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 66 percent of possession.
Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. 47 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Grilled. With 58 minutes played, the Kolhy coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
Evgeni Stanev came on,
Patryk Jędrzejczyk had to leave the fray. Kolhy needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes
Tiziano Palareti made way for
Leonardus Flinterman.
Veniamin Svobodin got left behind when Grilled's
Chow Ying Lee made a sudden run forward after 61 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 5 - 0! A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 66 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but
Fernando Carocha got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for team Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle to get them on. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim squirmed through their central defence after 71 minutes, increasing the lead to 6 - 0. The bench was restless, and with 72 minutes passed Kolhy's coach gave
Dawid Szocik the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
Koni Heutschi reluctantly left the field. As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
Fernando Carocha took over the role of being the Kolhy captain.
Dawid Szocik had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper
Dexter Stacey was simply unbeatable. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim increasing the lead to 7 - 0. 81 minutes into the match
Paolo Iten put Grilled ahead 8 - 0 with a truly marvelous free kick. As
林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) was substituted 89 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead.
Walter Ross was the replacement. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let
Alex Fonseca replace
Abdul bin Jantan after 89 minutes. Grilled's
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) wanted to play on, but 89 minutes into the game the decision was made to substitute him for
唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai). Grilled had had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim.
Paolo Iten turned in a dismal performance, however.
Veniamin Svobodin performed admirably for Kolhy. On the other hand,
Dawid Szocik's play was disheartening. The match ends 8 - 0.
