Grilled 3 - 5 heimu
brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 95086 to The Cooking Pot.
Raoul Meijers was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Daniel Fussenegger and
Nicolai Selner. Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Lineup: Stacey - Tzonkov, Madaini - Iten, bin Jantan, 尊文 (Zunwen) , 长春 (Changchun), Djekshenkulov - 勇航 (Yonghang) , 恒才 (Hengcai), Ying Lee.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for heimu. They fielded: Lo Iacono - Hasllani, 奥博 (Aobo) , Triebenbacher, Chao Cheng, Facciolo - Randegger, Grgurović, Gilucevičius, Obojes - Turu.
Grilled clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. heimu were relying on their ability to counter-attack. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle when they choose to try attacking in the center instead of on the wing. Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for
Qassem Madaini to get the go-ahead goal after 6 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. heimu's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
Lee Chao Cheng to score easily from the right flank for 0 - 1. heimu played a good counterattacking move down the left 11 minutes into the match, with
Giorgio Facciolo finishing well for 0 - 2.
Paul Obojes was, after 12 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper
Dexter Stacey made the save. After 33 minutes,
Paolo Iten sent the corner kick right to
唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai) who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 2! Grilled's
Seytek Djekshenkulov almost tied things up with 35 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. The crowd roared in delight as
Slavcho Tzonkov finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Grilled 50 minutes into the match. 2 - 2.
Tobies Turu finished off the counterattack of heimu from the left rather easily, making the score 2 - 3. The coach of heimu was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes,
Willy Hinderdael came on for
Ljubomir Grgurović. The game had been on for 64 minutes when
Rimgaudas Gilucevičius broke through on the right, upping the score for heimu to 2 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. With 70 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
Walter Ross came on,
Slavcho Tzonkov had to leave the fray. A penalty was called after 82 minutes, and heimu's
Tobies Turu made the most of his chance to put his team up by another goal. 2 - 5 for the visitors. By now, the players in heimu felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Grilled didn't give in and with 83 minutes played
Qassem Madaini was able to put the 3 - 5 goal away after a play on the right. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Grilled's
卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 85 minutes.
Alex Fonseca was given a chance to change things around. The bench was restless, and with 89 minutes passed Grilled's coach gave
Teo Yong Yau the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
Paolo Iten reluctantly left the field. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Chow Ying Lee.
Teo Yong Yau was a disappointment, however.
Rimgaudas Gilucevičius performed admirably for heimu.
Kostandin Hasllani turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 5.
