Grilled decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. Starters: Stacey - Madaini, Tzonkov - Iten, bin Jantan, 尊文 (Zunwen) , 长春 (Changchun), Djekshenkulov - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

Grilled used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. After a fine move down the middle Siegmund Sieslack nearly gave the home side a goal after 3 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. With 16 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim put the ball away for 0 - 1. After 26 minutes of play, Giovanni Trudu equalised for Shining after an elegant attack from the right. The terraces were silenced after 30 minutes when Grilled's 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. The home crowd was pulling their hair out after Siegwart Wörishofer missed a penalty shot by miles 32 minutes into the game. After 33 minutes, Antonio Trielli made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 2 - 2. It was 2 - 2 at the break. Shining held the ball, with a clear 53 percent of possession.

The visiting 朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 50 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 2 - 3 was the score. Shining's Siegmund Sieslack put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored the 3 - 3 goal with 70 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 71 minutes allowed Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim to score the 3 - 4 goal for Grilled. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let 林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) replace Slavcho Tzonkov after 80 minutes. Grilled's Seytek Djekshenkulov got himself booked for a foul. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 82 minutes into the match, an alert Étienne Bousquet bagged the ball for Shining, levelling the score to 4 - 4. 84 minutes into the game, 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. This half belonged to Shining, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Sarp Nakip performed admirably for Shining. Hannes Mayer was a disappointment, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly Chow Ying Lee. Paolo Iten turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 4.
