Grilled 8 - 2 Unbelieveable
rk skies made the crowd of 63914 at The Cooking Pot a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Keijo Färm was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Patryk Wojtachnio and
Martin Fridtorp. Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Starters: Stacey - 俊桂 (Jungui), Tzonkov - Iten, bin Jantan, 尊文 (Zunwen) , 长春 (Changchun), Djekshenkulov - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.
Unbelieveable had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Lineup: Ples - Fraj, Čech, Sukop - Kapfer, bin Taha, Hellbo, Bobers - Bazala, bin Hj Huzaimi, Tupayachi.
Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Unbelieveable used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim gave Grilled the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Grilled were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 22 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by
Paolo Iten. 2 - 0 for the home side. Unbelieveable fought on and, after 25 minutes,
Dirk Bobers was able to reply with the 2 - 1 goal after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. After 32 minutes,
Paolo Iten sent the corner kick right to
Seytek Djekshenkulov who headed it sharply past the keeper. 3 - 1! By now, the players in Grilled felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Grilled put themselves up 4 - 1 when
Chow Ying Lee broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Unbelieveable's
Dirk Bobers was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes. With 38 minutes played, Grilled's
Chow Ying Lee tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. After 39 minutes Grilled's
Dexter Stacey limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. The defenders were clearly outwitted by Unbelieveable after 40 minutes. The disciplined free kick combination shifted the ball quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other.
Hj Zaini bin Hj Huzaimi appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 4 - 2. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's
朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 41 minutes into the game.
Husein Hellbo's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Unbelieveable, he bravely continued in the match. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 2. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.
Cheers filled the stadium as
Chow Ying Lee broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 5 - 2 goal for Grilled. Grilled's
卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) wanted to play on, but 70 minutes into the game the decision was made to substitute him for
Alex Fonseca. Grilled was determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's
Abdul bin Jantan putting the lead up to 6 - 2. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air.
Slavcho Tzonkov wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
Walter Ross after 80 minutes.
Paolo Iten increased Grilled's lead to 7 - 2 with a penalty spot cannonball. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle when they choose to try attacking in the center instead of on the wing. 83 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) dashed through, knocking home 8 - 2 for Grilled. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 65 percent of possession.
Chow Ying Lee performed admirably for Grilled.
Paolo Iten on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Unbelieveable player was without a doubt
Hj Zaini bin Hj Huzaimi.
Dirk Bobers turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 8 - 2.
